Refunds, Returns, and Policies

Policies

Refunds & Returns

Our refund and returns policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, we can’t offer you any kind of refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused, unopened, and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will issue you a refund or store credit for the original amount of the returned item.

Rackets

Unused factory-prestrung rackets may be refunded. New non-factory strung rackets that have since been strung (by us or anyone else) cannot be returned. Please make good use of our demo rackets before purchase.

Strings

We cannot issue refunds for strings or restringing services. Please see our No Break Guarantee for string warranty.

Shoes

Shoes must be unworn and in the original box/packaging.

Shuttles

Shuttles must be unopened and unused (if not factory sealed). Please see our FAQ on shuttle hydration if your shuttles are not lasting as long as you’d expect.

Exchanges

We will only replace items if they are defective or damaged and brought to our attention before 30 days after purchase.

No-Break Guarantee

On all custom string jobs (factory prestrung rackets not included), we offer a 30-day no-break guarantee. If your custom strings should break within this window, we will restring your racket with the same string for free. This service is only valid once per paid string job and for tensions under the racket’s max specified tension. The broken strings must still be on the racket for inspection though you may cut broken strings to relieve tension on the racket. The no-break guarantee only covers defects in the string or string job and does not cover intentional breakage/cutting, evidence of playing outdoors, mishits (which cause most premature string breakage), or racket collisions resulting in string breakage.

Warranty

All Victor rackets come with a manufacturer’s 1-year warranty on manufacturing defects only. All warranty claims are between you and Victor using their warranty form

Frequently Asked Questions

Feather shuttles need to be hydrated at least 24 hours before play to increase their durability. There are two methods we recommend.

  1. Open both ends of the tube and hold the tube over a concentrated steam source (e.g. a boiling water kettle) and wait until you see steam rising from the far side of the tube. Quickly seal both ends of the tube.
  2. Alternatively, you can purchase a Humidome that keeps your shuttles constantly hydrated so that you don’t need to remember to hydrate your shuttles the day before you play!

Easy, it’s not our primary mission to sell products. Our mission is to build a badminton community and promote the sport in the West Valley. To that end, we sell online but always deliver to you in person! We want to meet you and know our customers and neighbors. Additionally, providing you the products in person ensures you are satisfied and lets us answer any questions you might have.

Badminton is an incredibly demanding sport that requires not only mental maturity and focus but great levels of physical control and dexterity. Most younger kids simply don’t have those before the teenage years. Yes, they can train with augmented programs but due to facility and time limitations, we currently cannot offer that kind of training. This difficult decision was made to preserve training quality and ensure fairness to all students.

Yonex requires a physical storefront in order to be an official retailer. We understand this requirement for quality and image reasons but given badminton’s status here in Arizona, that’s a high bar to achieve. Our partner Victor actually has the same storefront requirement but we have worked hard to achieve a solid relationship with our North American distributor in Canada. They took the time to research badminton in Arizona and agreed with us that a physical storefront would be impractical and allowed us to be an official retailer without one so we could grow the sport responsibly here.

The short answer is a resounding yes; they are very good. I’ve used Ashaway strings for years and almost all the players I’ve met who have used Ashaway feel that they are at minimum as good as Yonex with most agreeing that they are better. While Yonex is the undisputed king of badminton rackets, other global brands like Victor are also exceptionally good. Victor rackets are extremely popular in many parts of Europe and Asia and have been used by world champions as well as being used by the Danish and Malaysian National Badminton Teams (two of the best in the world). The quality for price balance with Victor rackets is exceptional. Their shuttles, shoes, bags, and apparel are also of exceptional quality.
